Cascina Fontana

Perno di Monforte d'Alba - Italy

Cascina Fontana is located in the heart of the Barolo wine area in the small hamlet of Perno, near Monforte d'Alba and about 15 km from Alba. Here, the Fontana family continues to cultivate vines and make wine as they have done for six generations.

Today, winemaker Mario Fontana continues this tradition, overseeing the entire production, from working the vines to winemaking, taking the utmost care and being the most meticulous at every stage of the process.

Mario and Luisa Fontana are the owners of 5 hectares of vines on the estate dedicated exclusively to the cultivation of the classic Langhe grape varieties: dolcetto, barbera and nebbiolo. The vineyards are located in the best production areas of the municipality of Castiglione Falletto.

Cascina Fontana is an entirely traditional winery that respects and follows the culture, traditions and history of the Langhe.
