A few steps from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, on the northern slope of the Alpilles is the Domaine de Trévallon, in the town of Saint-Etienne-du-Grès. Around the old mas, the vineyard extends in this living and preserved nature over 17 hectares. Eloi Dürrbach planted the first vines in the Alpilles in 1973. 15 ha of reds made up of equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah and 2 ha of whites made up mainly of Marsanne and Roussane.
The adventure of Trévallon, Floriane and Eloi Dürrbach have been leading it together for more than 30 years! He in the vineyards and in the cellar, Floriane by his side on the estate. Then the evidence, the particular link to this land, to this history, push Ostiane and Antoine to work on the estate.
Cabernet Sauvignon existed in Provence before phylloxera. Blended with Syrah, it could produce excellent wines. The two grape varieties associated with the limestone terroir of the Domaine give the unique style of Trévallon.
Like the vines, the olive trees are grown without chemical fertilizers or synthetic products. Aglandau, Picholine, Salonenque, Grossanne, Verdale, Bouteillan and Broutignan are harvested by hand from the 800 vines of the Domaine and then pressed during the day. Three months later the Trevallon oil will reveal its intact fruit flavors with herbaceous notes and a slight bitterness.
