Domaine Meo Camuzet

Vosne-Romanee

Domaine Méo-Camuzet is a Burgundy vineyard located in Côte-de-Nuits, which has existed since Gallo-Roman times. Indeed, although there are no more vines today in the village ofselongey, a pressing room dating from the year 50 was found there. There are traces of the Méo family at the head of the vineyard more than 4 centuries ago. In the 19th century, however, the potential buyers of the estate within the Méo oriented themselves more towards education and engineering, so it was the Camuzet part of the family that took over the reins.

Finally, Jean Méo took over the management of the estate and in 1983 instituted the bottling of wines under the name of Domaine Méo-Camuzet, with a view to exporting internationally. Jean-Nicolas, son of Jean and his wife Nicole, will then take over from his father when he leaves business school.

He will also create with his sisters, Isabelle and Angéline, the trading company Méo-Camuzet Frères et Soeurs, in order to compensate for the lack of supply in relation to an ever increasing demand. The owners of Domaine Méo-Camuzet are constantly innovating in order to place themselves among the essentials of Burgundy, both in France and abroad.
