At Clos Canarelli, the hand of man respectfully takes over from working the land.
From planting to operating the vineyard, everything is done with strict respect for the land and the plant. Soil cultivation therefore remains deliberately traditional: all the work and the harvest are manual, without using any weedkillers, synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilizers. The estate has been certified organic since 2002 and biodynamic since 2006.
It is a land at the end of the world, the southernmost in France. At the foot of the Omu di Cagna (massif which culminates at 1215m), the Figari vineyard offers powerful, distinguished wines of extreme finesse. On the edge of the Bonifacio cliff, the wines are fresh, with remarkable minerality, designed to age.
Granite and clay-limestone soils make up the different terroirs of Clos Canarelli. Gentle and natural winemaking methods allow the estate to produce fifteen vintages. Some are assemblages, others piecemeal.
