Clos de la Barthassade

Aniane

“Clos de la Barthassade” takes its origin from the Occitan “bartàs” which means “bush, scrub” and refers to the thick woods bordering the plots in Montpeyroux. The 13Ha vineyard is worked in organic farming and certain tasks are punctuated by the biodynamic calendar. As much work as possible is carried out manually in order to respect plants and soil life.

Trained in Burgundy, Hélène and Guillaume settled in the Terrasses du Larzac to produce their first vintage in 2014. They carried out single-plot vinification work, totally natural and respectful of the raw material. Native yeasts, no sulphites before and during fermentation, whole harvest, respect for the material. All winemaking operations are carried out by gravity and bottling takes place on fruit or flower days, in clear weather, with a waning moon and low tidal coefficients, without fining or filtration.

In viticulture as in winemaking, the greatest care is taken to make the prettiest wine possible, to be enjoyed without delay.
