Domaine Bachelet-Monnot

Dezize Les Maranges

The brothers Marc & Alex Bachelet founded the Domaine Bachelet-Monnot in 2005 with the vines of their father and uncle.

Today they operate a mix of family vines and long-term tenant farming totaling more than 20 hectares in Maranges, Santenay, and Puligny-Montrachet. The brothers are thoughtful grape growers, using no herbicides and plowing regularly to remove weeds and aerate the soil.

In the cellar, they age their wines for 12 months in around 25% new barrels then spend their whites in stainless steel vats and reds in concrete vats for another 6-8 months of aging on the lees.

With many prestigious appellations to their name, in addition to very high quality terroirs in Santenay and lesser known Maranges, the Bachelet brothers are rising stars in the region.
