Meursault
Domaine Ballot-Millot has a long history in the village of Meursault, Charles Ballot took over the estate in 2001 and has proven himself. Although several red appellations are present in the Domaine's portfolio, the emphasis remains on white wines. With style they characterize the balance, presence and minerality, avoiding the heaviness of the small Meursault. Successful work in the vines helps the wines to express their terroir, and rigorous pruning (rather than green harvesting) ensures low yields, giving well-concentrated wines. New wood is used sparingly and vinification in the cellars is indelible, allowing the complexity of the wines to flourish.
