Domaine Confuron-Gindre was born six generations ago in Vosne-Romanée. François Confuron-Gindre owns a myriad of vineyards ideally located in Vosne-Romanée in addition to a few Nuits-St-Georges and Gevrey-Chambertin. Edouard, François' son, gradually took over the business, implementing qualitative changes in the vineyard and cellar that brought additional finesse to the wines, while being respectful of the history of his family business.
The Estate has 11 Ha, five villages, four premier crus in Vosne-Romanée and a grand cru: Échezeaux. This is truly a blessing, given that Vosne Romanée is considered the holy grail for Pinot Noir lovers.
François Confuron has always been a supporter of good viticulture in harmony with the environment by tilling the soil, avoiding herbicides and maintaining a healthy level of old vines within the estate. Working with the biodiversity in the vineyard and pushing the roots to dig deep to find their nutrients is paramount to Confurons.
The Domaine went unnoticed for a while, but Edouard, François' son, gradually took over, the Domaine also opened up to the world by exporting more and more! Edouard is very curious and often visits famous neighbors in Vosne-Romanée to learn, listen and hone his skills.
