Domaine de la

Taille aux Loups

Montlouis Sur Loire

The history of the Domaine de la Taille aux Loups began in the early 1990s. Jacky Blot was then a wine broker and, when the opportunity arose to take over vines in Montlouis, he did not hesitate for long. Jacky Blot was in good school, with Nicolas Joly of the Coulée de Serrant. He undertook different vinifications, continually innovating and breathing new life into the appellation. Plowing, manual harvesting... Gestures which, at the time, seemed very innovative.

Today, the estate is also managed by Jacky's son, Jean-Philippe, and has 25 hectares of chenin on the banks of the Loire and the Cher, which then rests in the 400 barrels housed in magnificent cellars.

To this must be added the 15 hectares of Cabernet Franc from the Domaine de la Butte in Bourgueil, all in one piece on one of the most beautiful hillsides of the appellation. The vineyard has been organic since the beginning and certified since 2012. The chenin vines are around 80 years old.
