Etienne Sauzet

Puligny Montrachet

It all started in the first half of the 20th century, after inheriting a few vines, then other acquisitions, Etienne SAUZET created the eponymous estate in Puligny-Montrachet. Four generations later and despite its disappearance in 1975, SAUZET remains 6 letters that resonate as a tribute to Chardonnay. It was then Jeanine and Gérard BOUDOT who worked with passion to build the estate's great reputation.

The vineyard now represents 15 hectares spread over the municipalities of Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Cormot-le-Grand in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune.

Today Emilie and Benoit take care of the vines, see to the maintenance of the life of the soil, listening to the plants which transmit an energy to each grape, to each wine. Thus, biodynamic cultivation was obvious to them.
