Domaine Vincent Gaudry

Sury-en-Vaux

Vincent Gaudry's estate is located in the village of Sury-en-Vaux, just next to Sancerre. This is where Vincent Gaudry's family has been growing vines for several generations. Vincent began to work there fully alongside his father from 1991. In 1997, his father definitively passed the torch to him and Vincent Gaudry definitively took over the family estate.

Vincent decides to put aside chemistry in favor of a healthier agriculture, for the vineyard and for his relatives. The latter quickly decides that the domain will be worked in organic and later he will be very interested in biodynamics which will end up being established as well.

The 11-hectare vineyard is located on the three terroirs of Sancerre, namely Kimmeridgian limestone, clay-limestone and flint. A large part of the estate is made up of old vines. The wines are vinified naturally with indigenous yeasts for fermentation with aging on wood and stainless steel.

Its wines, with a clean and sharp profile, are marked by an important minerality, reflecting the terroir of Sancerre. Wines of emotion and gastronomy.
