It was in 1978 that Piero Benevelli started with five hectares of vines in Monforte d'Alba and focused on traditional Piedmont grapes: Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Barbera. His son, Massimo, began his training in the vineyard at the age of 14 with his father.
Today the estate consists of 10.5Ha around Montforte d'Alba, where Dolcetto, Barbera, Langhe and Barolo are produced. His vision is that to make a great wine, you need great grapes. So indigenous yeasts for fermentation, long aging with a minimum of two years in barrels.
